When kids come from school - it's not quite dinner time, but they certainly come home hungry - this blueberry milkshake is one of my girls favorites! What's cool about this shake is that it has good fats that little brains need to be super smart and a boost that a child wants after a long day of studies! And the coolest thing it's a milkshake with no ice cream - what parent wants to put up with a kid high on sugar in the middle of the afternoon?
Ingredients and Preparation:
Throw the following ingredients in the blender and you are good to go!
- 2 cups of whole milk
- half a cup of cream or half and half
- cup of fresh blueberries - blueberries are full of antioxidants and a great source of Vitamin K and C, manganese, fiber and copper
- cup of ice -instead of ice cream ;-)
- my secret ingredient is couple 3-4 oz of Stone Stonewall Kitchen Wild Maine Blueberry Syrup
